I was just speaking with a student the other day and they were interested in attending our Ladies’ Night Self-Defense Workshop on surviving edged weapons.
They were holding out on enrolling because they wanted to do it with their friend. They were more interested that their friend comes and gets to see the school and learn.
So essentially they were not going to sign up unless their friend does.
My explanation was simple.
So, it would be good for your friend to learn to survive edged weapons… that way they can defend you if you get attacked… right? 🙂
When you think about it we are surrounded by often two types of thought.
#1 – It is all about ME!!!
#2 – It is all about YOU!!!
Both of these can get us in trouble.
We have to think about ourselves so we can stay healthy and safe. We also have to think about those that we care about and put their needs ahead of us too.
In this case though… if you think it would be good for your friend… chances are it would be good for you.
Take the time to weigh out the chances you are given so you can make a strong decision.
Will this be best for them.
Will this be best for me.
Will this be best for us.
In the case of the information to help you defend “yourself” and possibly “those you care about”… this might be a workshop for everyone 🙂
